Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi and European Investment Bank Vice-President Karl Nehammer discussed accelerating the implementation of joint projects, including prioritising them according to urgent needs.

Koretskyi reported this, specifying that the priorities include "the protection and restoration of energy infrastructure, support for state-owned companies, and the reconstruction of critical and social infrastructure in Ukrainian communities".

The two sides also discussed opportunities to make the most effective use of EU guarantees under the Ukraine Investment Framework to finance priority investment projects in 2027.

They supported the idea of establishing a joint working group to review the project portfolio, identify priority projects and accelerate their financing.

According to the Prime Minister, the EIB is a strategic partner of Ukraine. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, financing provided to Ukraine by the EIB Group has exceeded €4.5 billion, including a record €1.5 billion allocated by the EIB in 2025.
