The head of the Unified Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces in the south of Ukraine, Natalia Humenyuk, notes that enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the south have become more active on the islands and in the straits, and she explains what they are doing there. She made these remarks during a televised marathon, responding to a question about the actions of enemy sabotage groups in the south.

"They have now increased their activity precisely in a challenging terrain area, marked by complex geography – where there are islands and straits. They are attempting to rotate their personnel and trying to gather intelligence on the intentions of the Defense Forces," Humenyuk explained.

The press secretary added that, in particular, the occupiers are intensifying shelling to cover their actions. "Population centers closer to the delta suffered the most yesterday," she said.

For instance, Belozersk was heavily shelled, resulting in eight civilians being wounded. Humenyuk noted that it's characteristic that the invaders target places where people gather."
