On February 8, a unique exhibition project "New Bridges" will open at the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art, located on Pushkinskaya corner of Grechskaya Street.

The symbolism of bridges in culture has a deep sacred significance. The bridge connects Heaven and Earth, unites ontological principles, becomes a symbol of change. These are the meanings accumulated in the exhibition of three artists "New bridges" (Odessa-Kyiv). This is an allegorical way to build bridges between different cities, artists and spectators, convinced the project curators Anna Chubar and Victoria Nesterenko.

The curators see the paintings, which will be presented in the three halls of the museum, as certain communication, cultural and diplomatic bridges of understanding. They offer the viewer to feel the synergy of relations between current Ukrainian cities through the works of contemporary artists from different parts of the country.

Within each individual painting presented in the exhibition, genres and painting techniques that are very contrasting in nature are unexpectedly combined. The exhibition is full of artistic diffusion: the still life is organically dissolved in the abstract composition, and the landscape and the portrait become like dreams, shrouded in a haze of fantasy.

Alla Alekseeva is a Kyiv artist. At the heart of her artistic images is figurative painting, as if reinterpreted through the direction of abstraction. Alla's paintings are sensual, juicy and full of expression.

Leonid Bagriy is a representative of the Odessa School of Painting. Curator and participant of Ukrainian and international art projects. Master of abstract painting. His paintings are always atmospheric and open to many interpretations, where the choice is always up to the viewer.

Petro Lebedynets is a Kyiv abstract artist. His work of more than twenty years has traveled for more than twenty years with world exhibitions and projects such as Art Basel and Art Expo New York. In his work he turns to pure and often warm colours, which create a special mood of joy, peace and inspiration for his large-scale paintings.

The exhibition will run until February 25.
