On Friday, May 16, a meeting of the defence ministers of Poland, Germany, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom will take place in Rome to discuss coordination of support for Ukraine.

As reported by the French newspaper Sud Ouest, Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto will host his counterparts from the four other European military heavyweights—Germany, France, Poland, and the UK—for talks on Friday.

The ministers will focus on coordinating their support for Ukraine.

Following the meeting, the five defence ministers are expected to hold a joint press conference at 3:45 p.m. Kyiv time.

It is noted that this is the fourth such meeting in this format in the past year, following previous gatherings in Berlin in November, Warsaw in January, and Paris in March.
