Recently, a new stadium for the legendary Everton FC was built in the hometown of The Beatles. Constructed using 1,000 tons of hot-rolled Spartan UK steel from the Metinvest Group, "Bramley-Moore Dock" has already hosted its first fans.
Everton is a football club from Liverpool that plays in the English Premier League and is one of its founding members. The club itself was established in 1878. Until recently, Everton played its home matches at the 39,000-seat Goodison Park stadium, which was only slightly younger than the club itself. Of course, over more than 130 years, the stadium had undergone multiple renovations, but it had become morally outdated. After the UK government's decision to rebuild all stadiums with seating areas only (previously there were standing terraces), the sports arena could no longer accommodate all fans.
In 2017, Everton announced plans to build a new stadium in the Bramley-Moore Dock area. Two years later, the project was unveiled, and in February 2025, the new 53,000-seat football gem of Liverpool opened its doors to fans for the first time.
For the construction of the stadium, 1,000 tons of hot-rolled Spartan UK steel from the Metinvest Group were used.
The construction of the stadium followed a "no-blockwork" strategy, meaning every element had to be carefully planned, ensuring the precision of steel construction assembly without using traditional brickwork. This approach required high-quality materials and efficient project execution, with Spartan UK hot-rolled steel playing a key role.
