Deutsche Bahn Cargo, with subsidiaries in Poland and Romania, sent several trainloads of Ukrainian grain every day to different seaports.
In the ninth month of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the German railway company Deutsche Bahn said it could not fully utilize its capacity to export Ukrainian grain due to EU border bureaucracy.
It is reported by RND.
"We could ship even more if the border crossing at the EU's external border (procedures) was faster. Centralized coordination - strategic and operational - will allow the transport of large volumes of goods by rail," the company noted.
The company noted that it is necessary to expand the infrastructure and speed up border processes at the external borders of the EU.
