Sabotage groups, drones, and military threat will not disappear after the end of the war. Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko revealed in an interview with a Censor.net that certain border areas are challenging to secure. Therefore, the focus is not only on the physical presence of border guards and military personnel but also on implementing technical means to prevent illegal border crossings, not only from Russia and Belarus but also from other countries. This includes preventing the entry of illegal migrants into the territory of the European Union and Moldova. This encompasses smugglers and other criminals as well, according to Ihor Klymenko.

The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the number of border guards along the Belarusian border has been reinforced to a level that, combined with the military, will ensure effective defense of the borders if necessary. He stated,

"Our intelligence agencies are constantly monitoring the situation. However, the current number of personnel there does not allow us to talk about a serious invasion threat into our territory. We have sufficient forces there to stop and repel any violation of the border, both by military formations and non-military groups. I can responsibly say that at this stage, this is the situation."

Ihor Klymenko also discussed the protection of the western border, where challenges arise due to counterfeit goods and the illegal evasion of conscription. He mentioned the implementation of a system of technical protection and observation along the western border to minimize unauthorized border crossings with EU countries.

"Regarding the western border, it concerns a system of technical protection and surveillance aimed at minimizing border crossings with EU countries by citizens attempting to evade military conscription and mobilization. In cases where individuals illegally cross the border into Romania, Hungary, or Slovakia, according to the laws of these countries, they are not returned to us. They already become refugees suffering from the war. Therefore, we also need to maintain a significant number of personnel along the western border," stated Ihor Klymenko.
