As of today, 302 civilians remain in the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region, and 625 people remain in Kurakhove, who refused to evacuate.
This was reported by spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, Nazar Voloshin, during a television broadcast.
"According to local authorities, there are still 302 people in Chasiv Yar – these are individuals who refused evacuation. In Kurakhove, there are 625 people currently in the city; there are no children or elderly individuals," Voloshin said.
He noted that mandatory evacuations had been carried out in both cities, but some people refused to leave.
The spokesperson emphasized that the presence of civilians hinders the Defense Forces from conducting military operations, and these individuals are putting themselves in danger due to constant artillery and mortar shelling.
