In northern Moldova this morning, missile debris was discovered four kilometers from the Ukrainian border. According to NewsMaker, this information comes from Moldova's Border Police. According to law enforcement, on the morning of October 16, residents of the Ocnita district found "several metal objects," most likely fragments of a projectile. They were found near the village of Lencăuți, located four kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Moldovan media suggest that these may be missile fragments.
Police and prosecutors from Ocnita are currently working at the site.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, missile and drone debris has been found multiple times on Moldovan territory.
