In November, demining operators, under the state programme for compensating the cost of clearing agricultural land, cleared 3,798 hectares of land.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, the following was also carried out in November:

  • 5 agreements for demining agricultural land were completed;
  • Operators of demining activities received UAH 191.5 million for the work performed;
  • The average cost per hectare of land cleared in November under the programme was UAH 50.4 thousand;
  • The Humanitarian Demining Center signed 11 contracts for clearing agricultural land.

Since the launch of the state compensation programme, the Center has signed 107 contracts to clear 17,860 hectares of agricultural land, with the total cost of these works reaching UAH 1.05 billion.

Notably, last month the demining operator “Humanitarian Security” returned a record area of over 3,300 hectares to use. The demining took a year, and next season “ADP-Agro” will be able to sow its fields in the Barvinkivska community of Kharkiv region.

At the end of November, the Humanitarian Demining Center paid the first contract for land demining that a farmer had cleared at his own expense. The funds went to the agricultural company “Pervoye Maya” in Kherson region, whose 1,150-hectare plot was cleared by specialists from Ukroboronservice in March–April 2023. The total cost of that work was nearly UAH 6 million. Under the state programme, the farmer received 80% of this amount — UAH 4.76 million.
