The car of Russian-appointed police chief Mikhail Moskvin exploded in Russian-occupied Mariupol, TASS reports citing a source in the power structures of the annexed DPR. Colonel Eduard Basurin also confirmed this information to RIA Novosti.
“Today in Mariupol, an attempt was made on the life of Mikho, the chief of police of Moskvin, he is alive. I talked to him, he received a slight concussion,†Basurin said. According to TASS, Moskvin's car exploded when he was a few meters away from him. However, writes RIA Novosti, Moskvin was not seriously injured, he did not need hospitalization.
According to a RIA Novosti source, the explosive device was planted under the bottom of the car. In Mariupol, the "Interception" plan was announced.
