In Poltava, a rehabilitation center called Recovery for wounded soldiers has been opened. Annually, two thousand veterans will be able to receive free services at this center.
The Recovery rehabilitation center has three floors and was established within one of the medical facilities in the Poltava region. The center is equipped according to inclusivity and technological standards, featuring wide doorways, no thresholds, anti-slip flooring, handrails in corridors, and inclusive restroom facilities.
In the medical rehabilitation area, two rooms with virtual reality (VR) equipment have been set up, providing interactive feedback with patients. There are also therapy rooms for ergotherapy, psychology, assistive technologies, massage, magnetotherapy, physiotherapy, laser therapy, physiotherapist services, an orthodontist, inclusive sanitary rooms, and administrative offices.
Thanks to innovative trainers and equipment, patients at the center can restore functionality in both upper and lower limbs, according to Recovery.
