The Ministry of Defense of Romania is proposing to its citizens to discuss a law on the country's national defense. The new law includes the concept of hybrid security threats to Romania.

As reported by adevarul.ro, if the law is adopted, in addition to deploying troops to the territory of other states, the country will be able to employ other forms of intervention to counter these hybrid threats.

However, such intervention may be initiated by the President of Romania and approved by the Supreme Council of National Defense.

Additionally, a decision is proposed for coordinating security forces in case of armed conflict, including:

• Priority mobilization of police personnel;

• Establishment of a National Military Command Center;

• Operational integration of Romania's armed forces, NATO, and the EU.

"This aspect reflects the obligations that Romania has undertaken as a member of these organizations, emphasizing its firm commitment to international standards of security cooperation," the material states.
