On Saturday, August 5th, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the second meeting at the level of national security advisors and political leaders commenced to discuss ways to end Russia's war against Ukraine based on President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula.

According to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva, during the summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which involves representatives from over 40 countries, the responsibility will be distributed among the nations regarding co-organization or co-leadership in different points of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

The Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, stated that Ukraine's strategy for implementing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula has three levels. The first level includes meetings with ambassadors accredited in Ukraine to thoroughly discuss each point of the Peace Formula. The second level consists of negotiations in Saudi Arabia at the level of national security advisors and political advisors "to find optimal formulations and mechanisms for implementing the Ukrainian peace plan." The third level is the founding Global Peace Summit with leaders of states, where the implementation of the Formula will take place.

Ukraine has a 10-point peace plan that includes provisions for nuclear security, food security, and the reconstruction of Ukraine after the Russian attacks. The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, stated that the goal in Jeddah is to "unite the world around Ukraine."

The negotiations will involve Ukraine, Western countries, and representatives from developing countries, some of which have maintained neutrality. The United States and, importantly, China, which has close economic ties with Russia, will also be represented.

The Kremlin has declared that they will "monitor the meeting." Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that there cannot be any prospects for peaceful negotiations with Ukraine while their counteroffensive continues. Meanwhile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy asserts that direct talks cannot take place until Moscow withdraws its troops from Ukrainian territory.
