In the Czech Republic, they plan to train 4,000 Ukrainian military personnel this year

The Czech Republic could train 4,000 Ukrainian military personnel on its territory this year. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, Jana Černochová, as reported by iDnes.

The head of the defense department recalled that last year, four thousand military personnel from Ukraine underwent training in the Czech Republic, and she confirmed that the same number has been approved for this year.

"As soon as we receive information that a group is formed, we provide our training facilities and instructors," said Černochová, specifying that the maximum number of the group is 800 military personnel.

At the same time, she stated that the Czech Republic does not plan to send its instructors directly to Ukraine due to the geographical proximity of military training grounds in Libavá and Olomouc to the neighboring state. According to Černochová, some countries are considering this possibility due to their distance from Ukraine.

"From the Slovak-Ukrainian border to our Libavá, there are several hundred kilometers. So, regarding the Czech Republic, I can say that we are currently not planning or preparing anything similar," she said.
