Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region have captured over a hundred Russian soldiers. The platoon made this decision after their military leadership abandoned them.
This was reported by the press service of the "I Want to Live" project.
It is noted that over a hundred Russian soldiers, left behind by their commanders, decided to surrender on August 14.
"They can be understood; it is difficult to conduct combat operations when you are led by tyrants and embezzlers, and the flanks are 'covered' by Kadyrov's bandits, who abandon everyone and everything to avoid being captured themselves," the statement says.
The project also mentioned Russian General Lapin, who was responsible for the defense of Kharkiv region in 2022 (when the region was rapidly de-occupied by Ukrainian forces) and is now responsible for the defense of Kursk.
UPDATE
Security Service of Ukraine forces captured 102 servicemen of the 488th motorized rifle regiment of the Russian Armed Forces and the Akhmat unit on the Kursk direction. The Warriors of the Special Group Alpha captured the company stronghold, which was branched, concreted and qualitatively fortified from all sides - with underground communications and rooms for personnel accommodation, canteen, weapons room and even a bathhouse. The Russian forces were not going to surrender; there were more than enough provisions and ammunition.
