On the night of January 19, Russian forces attacked the energy infrastructure of the Odessa region, leaving 30.8 thousand consumers without electricity.
This was reported by the DTEK Group on Telegram.
“Overnight, the enemy significantly damaged a DTEK energy facility in Odessa. Due to the shelling, 30.8 thousand households are currently without power,” the statement said.
It is noted that the damage to the infrastructure is extensive, and repair work will take a long time to restore the equipment to operational condition.
Energy workers are currently on site, clearing the rubble, after which repair work will begin. The priority task is to restore power supply to critical infrastructure facilities in order to provide heat and water to homes.
