The Russian army is conducting continuous infantry assaults in Toretsk, disregarding the lives of its soldiers and attempting to exhaust the Defense Forces.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in Luhansk, Anastasia Bobovnikova, during a televised interview.
"The situation in Toretsk is extremely difficult due to intense urban combat. The enemy is trying to pressure us with 'meat,' treating its soldiers as expendable resources to throw at the Defense Forces until we are worn down. Unfortunately, they have a large supply of this 'meat.' While heavy equipment is used less on this front, there are many human resources. This daily routine is the most challenging aspect of fighting in Toretsk," Bobovnikova said.
According to her, the Russian forces' assault actions in Toretsk are relentless and occur under artillery cover.
"The enemy is attempting to storm under the cover of artillery and mortars. First, there is an artillery preparation, and then the infantry assault. They are trying to catch our troops off guard while they are taking cover from the artillery. At the same time, the Russians don't care that they themselves could be harmed by their own artillery. They don't value their own lives," Bobovnikova emphasized.
