Ukrainian intelligence believes that Russia's threats to attack the US embassy in Ukraine actualize the issue of closing the sky over Kyiv.
This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
"In the Russian State Duma, there was a call to strike at government institutions in Kyiv, as well as at the US Embassy in Ukraine. This opinion was voiced by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Yuri Shvytkin. The rationale for such a step, from the point of view of the Russian deputy, could be the supply of Ukraine with the latest Western weapons," they said.
The intelligence noted that this threat is directed both at the United States and at all civilized countries of the world that support Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
"Consequently, it once again actualizes the issue of the need to close the sky over Kyiv and all of Ukraine," the intelligence service added.
On the eve of the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Yuri Shvytkin proposed to strike at the US embassy in Kyiv and the government quarter through the receipt of new Western weapons by Ukraine.
"This [transmission of the MLRS] once again underlines the step-by-step movement towards a third world war on the part of the United States. You need to understand that we must react harshly. In my opinion, today the reaction should also take place on those countries that supply weapons. And not just destroy infrastructure and so on, but I think the main decision-making center is the US Embassy," Shvytkin said.
