The Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe, with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has begun supplying pipes to energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, as reported by the company's press service.
"We have started supplying pipes on order from the USAID Energy Security Project in Ukraine. Around 900 tons of pipes have already been shipped to energy infrastructure sites across the country," the company stated.
It is explained that the supplied pipes are part of U.S. assistance to ensure heating supply for the Ukrainian people.
Meanwhile, the USAID Energy Security Project’s website reports continued efforts to strengthen Ukraine's energy resilience.
As part of preparations for the heating season, USAID, through the Energy Security Project, provided 33 high-voltage power transformers to a water supply company serving frontline settlements.
This assistance significantly improved the reliability of electricity supply, enabling centralized energy delivery to approximately 1.5 million Ukrainians. The aid also greatly enhanced the reliability of wastewater services.
As previously reported, in late 2023, the Ministry for Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine and the USAID Energy Security Project signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at restoring, reforming, and developing energy and municipal infrastructure in communities, ensuring energy resilience.
