"Even if the Russians decide to carry out a tactical nuclear attack, the Ukrainians would not stop." This was stated by the ambassador of Italy in Kyiv, Pierfrancesco Zazo, referring to talks with Ukrainian military leaders.

"I see in the Ukrainians a ferocious determination, more anger than fear. Above all, I see a united front in support of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainians are optimistic; they feel they are victorious on a military level, as long as the support of Western countries continues. There is the possibility that Vladimir Putin could use the tactical nuclear weapon, but they do not rule it out," said the ambassador speaking at a popular talk show on the first channel of the Italian national TV.

The Ambassador knows very well the Ukrainian soul. He was already attached to Kyiv’s embassy between the end of the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s. His wife is Ukrainian.

"They believe that Putin is adopting a strategy based on psychological terror, on fear, to induce Western countries to reduce military aid and discourage Ukrainians from continuing their military counter-offensive. But in the event of the use of a tactical nuclear bomb, the Ukrainian military believe of having to go on anyway," concluded Zazo.
