Latvia has envisioned a new package of military assistance for Ukraine. Additionally, the country will provide drones worth 1 million euros.

This was statet by Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa during a briefing with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"Latvia has already envisaged the next package of military assistance this month. We have also provided donations for material and technical items, as well as ammunition and weaponry that we have. Ammunition is particularly important for Ukraine. We discussed this today with the Prime Minister of Ukraine. Explosives, transportation, weapons, and individual equipment are very important," she said.

Latvia has also joined the drone coalition and is working in this direction simultaneously. Ukraine will soon receive a batch of drones.

"We plan to send the first drones worth a total of 1 million euros very soon. The drones have already been tested. Our colleagues have recognized them as meeting the requirements," the Prime Minister noted.

According to her, Latvia supported the Czech Republic's initiative to procure artillery ammunition for Ukraine. Latvia will contribute 10 million euros.

"We will also deliver the necessary equipment and provide rehabilitation for Ukrainian soldiers," Evika Siliņa added.
