Latvia is set to transfer approximately 500 drones to Ukraine. The drones have already been prepared for shipment.

Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds announced this on Twitter, stating,

"The next batch of drones is ready! About 500 Latvian-made drones will support Ukrainians in carrying out various combat missions."

This aid is part of the drone coalition initiative.

This year, Ukraine's partners decided to form a drone coalition to provide drones actively used in the war against Russia. The initiative is led by the UK and Latvia. In June, Sprūds announced that Latvia had delivered the first batch of drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with the second batch expected to be sent "soon."

Additionally, in July, the creation of a joint fund for the drone coalition was announced, with funds used to purchase drones for Ukrainian soldiers.
