Latvia has sent a new batch of 1,500 attack drones to Ukraine as part of the international Drone Coalition.

This was announced by Latvia’s Defense Minister Andris Sprūds, reports LRT.

"Another 1,500 combat drones are being delivered from Latvia to Ukraine. Two Latvian companies will supply 12,000 drones in the first half of the year as part of the international drone coalition," Sprūds wrote, posting a photo of drones prepared for shipment.

The publication, referring to various media sources, notes this is the third drone shipment from Latvia in recent months: previous deliveries of 1,500 units each took place on April 1 and April 29.

The international Drone Coalition was established in February 2024 during the 19th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the "Ramstein" format. It is jointly led by the United Kingdom and Latvia. Currently, the coalition includes 18 countries: Australia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Sweden, New Zealand, and Ukraine.
