In November 2023, the United24 platform launched a lottery for models of Ukrainian monuments designed by Lego Creators. The fundraising campaign will take place from May 20th to June 20th. All funds raised will go to the reconstruction of a secondary school in the settlement of Velyka Kostromka (Dnipropetrovsk region), hit by a Russian missile on 11 October 2022.
Lego Creators have created five new Lego sets featuring Ukrainian monuments for United24:
- Odessa Opera House
- Golden Gate of Kyiv
- Khan's Palace in Bakhchysarai (Crimea)
- Pidhirtsi Castle
- Mykolaiv Astronomical Observatory
“We are pleased to present the second edition of the #UKRAINEinLEGObricks initiative, which presents the landmarks of Ukraine to the world,” the Lego Creators said. These building sets are unique and are not for sale, but can be won by making a donation starting from $24. A total of fifteen sets will be drawn, three for each type.
Lego creators from four countries took part in the project: Eric Lowe and Mark Segedi from the USA, Daniel Seidl from Germany, Maciej Kocot from Poland and Oleksandr Yermolaiev from Ukraine.
#UKRAINEinLEGObricks is the continuation of the #LEGOwithUKRAINE project, which raised UAH 15 million (US$377,000) for the reconstruction of destroyed buildings in Ukraine.
