On the night of November 12, 2024, the Russian forces launched an attack on Kharkiv with a guided S-300 missile from Belgorod region, Russia. They also attacked with two Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missiles from Kursk region, Russia, targeting Chernihiv region, and with guided aerial bombs on Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Additionally, the Russian forces launched 110 Shahed-type strike drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unspecified type from the areas of Kursk, Primorsk-Akhtarsk, and Bryansk in Russia.
The aerial assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 11:00, 46 drones have been confirmed destroyed in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions.
In addition, 60 Russian drones were lost in various regions of Ukraine, while two Russian UAVs exited Ukraine’s airspace towards Belarus.
