The cartoon "Mavka. The Forest Song" set an absolute box office record for all the time of Ukraine's independence since 1991, the State Film Agency reported.

"Mavka. Forest Song" has become the highest-grossing Ukrainian film since independence! In just three weekends, 642,671 tickets were sold for the cartoon at the Ukrainian box office, and the box office amounted to UAH 81,848,415," the press service of the Ukrainian State Film Agency said.

It is noted that the animated film was created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
