Journalists from "Mediazona" and the BBC, along with a team of volunteers, have confirmed the identities of 35,780 Russian military personnel who died during the full-scale war in Ukraine.

According to their calculations, the highest number of casualties occurred among conscripted prisoners (6,691 individuals since the start of the war) and conscripts (4,232 individuals).

The journalists also noted that the battle for Avdiivka, which some experts refer to as the "second Bakhmut," doesn't significantly impact the overall count.

"We're finding obituaries for those killed in this direction - it's stormtroopers and motorized infantry - but Bakhmut is still far ahead in terms of the number of casualties," writes "Mediazona."

Additionally, the journalists confirmed the death of a sailor during a missile attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on ship repair docks in Sevastopol. It is known that naval physician Lieutenant Artem Faizov was killed as a result of the attack. His obituary published on VKontakte mentioned that he died "along with the entire crew." However, "Mediazona" did not find other confirmations of this information.

The journalists also report that they discovered two obituaries that may be related to missile strikes on the ATACMS on airfields in Berdyansk and Luhansk on October 17. According to the publication, Major Sergey Korolenko and Major Yakov Zhigulev, both responsible for ground servicing of helicopters, died as a result of that attack.
