Oleksandr Balanutsa, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration, conducted negotiations with a bipartisan U.S. Congressional delegation during their visit to Kyiv. The U.S. delegation was led by Democratic Representatives Donald Norcross and Jimmy Panetta, along with Republican Representative Celeste Maloy.

Balanutsa expressed gratitude to the Congress members for their steadfast support of Ukraine and the values defended by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The main focus of the meeting was the discussion of continued U.S. assistance in various forms—military, financial, and political. He also conveyed the Defense Minister's appreciation for the unwavering support from the U.S. Congress.

"The fact that we can hold these talks in Ukraine today is partly due to U.S. support. Thank you and the American people for the aid provided. Every piece of ammunition makes a significant difference in our fight. When we request something, we understand the real application and the results that the necessary weapons can bring," Balanutsa stated.

He also emphasized the importance of U.S. authorization for strikes on military targets within Russia, noting that after the enemy's attack on the "Okhmatdyt" children's hospital, there should be no hesitation about escalation.

The conversation also touched on the ongoing reforms in Ukraine, which continue despite the challenges of wartime. Balanutsa reiterated Ukraine's firm commitment to joining the EU and NATO, acknowledging that organizational measures are unavoidable.

"This visit allows us to better understand the reality in which Ukrainians have lived in recent years. What we witnessed here cannot be compared to news coverage on CNN, ABC, or Fox News. We will continue to support Ukraine until a just peace is achieved," said Democratic Representative Donald Norcross.
