Combat units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive direct funding of 2.5 billion UAH each month. These funds will be distributed among the brigades of the Armed Forces for the purchase of drones.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the respective proposal from the Ministry of Defense.
In December, the Ministry of Defense already transferred 2.1 billion UAH directly to the combat units of the Armed Forces for UAV purchases, enabling quick fulfillment of the brigades' needs and strengthening the diversification of centralized management.
"We analyzed this experience and made the decision to scale up the initiative. Unit commanders will be able to use these funds to purchase the drones that are most effective for carrying out frontline tasks. This is another step toward creating a flexible supply system to ensure the military has everything necessary to defend Ukraine," said Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov.
