National Police: Russia using new drones to strike Sumy

Russian  forces have started using a new type of drones to strike Sumy. In just the past week, the city has suffered five attacks from these explosive-laden UAVs.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

"The Russians have begun using a new type of drones to attack civilians. In just the past week, the city of Sumy has suffered five attacks from these explosive-laden UAVs," the statement reads.

 

As a result of the strikes, one person was killed, and three others were injured. Explosions damaged vehicles and residential buildings.

Description of the drone:

  • Gray in color, resembles a small aircraft
  • Two wings arranged in a "biplane" configuration
  • Electric motor at the rear with a pusher propeller
  • Small, low-visibility, quiet in motion
  • Carries a warhead weighing around 3 kg
