The Dutch government has confirmed its intention to extend the Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF) programme into 2027, with a planned budget of €26.5 million.

This was announced by Ukraine's Minister for Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport, Mykola Kalashnyk, following a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Roelof van Ees.

"We discussed further cooperation in rebuilding Ukrainian infrastructure, strengthening community resilience and ensuring the stable operation of the transport sector. An important outcome of the meeting was confirmation that the Netherlands will extend the Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF) programme into 2027, with a planned budget of €26.5 million," the statement said.

According to Kalashnyk, the parties agreed to explore opportunities to allocate this funding to joint Ukrainian-Dutch infrastructure recovery and development projects. Priorities include ensuring uninterrupted water and heating supplies and strengthening the energy independence of local communities.

The discussions also addressed Kyiv's needs for pumping equipment, generators and energy storage systems, as well as opportunities to involve Dutch manufacturers in temporary bridge construction projects.

Another area of cooperation is the development of ties between the ports of Odessa and Rotterdam. Amid continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure, such cooperation is important for maintaining international logistics routes.

The minister also invited the Netherlands to contribute to the Ukraine Transport Support Fund.
