The destruction of Ukraine’s pre-war logistics model forced agricultural companies to rethink transportation systems, and NIBULON has rebuilt its operations around a new, more flexible approach.
Between 2023 and 2025, the company invested $22.9 million in modernizing its transport fleet. Today, its logistics capabilities include 142 trucks, 212 hopper railcars, and 83 vessels, allowing it to handle most transportation needs with its own resources.
Part of the fleet has been deployed on the Middle and Upper Danube, where 12 tugboats and 17 barges with a combined deadweight capacity of 62,000 tonnes are providing transport services for European farmers and producers. During the 2025/26 marketing year, the vessels moved 110,000 tonnes of cargo.
The company is also expanding its logistics operations beyond internal needs. Its freight transport division carried nearly 110,000 tonnes of cargo for external customers during the same period, while its vehicle maintenance facilities have begun offering services to third-party clients.
The service centers, originally created to maintain the company’s own fleet, have already repaired 2,538 vehicles, including trucks, trailers, tankers, and specialized equipment.
The changes reflect a broader shift in Ukraine’s agricultural logistics sector, where companies have had to adapt to the loss of traditional Black Sea routes, increased reliance on European corridors, and constant wartime disruptions.
By rebuilding its transport infrastructure, restoring fleet operations, and integrating into European logistics networks, NIBULON has created a new model designed to maintain export flows under changing conditions.
