Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security Council, explained the fallacy of the thesis "to prevent the escalation of the conflict with Russia", which is popular in the West. He wrote about it on Facebook.
“Prevent escalation of the conflict†with the so-called russia is an expression that is being repeated more and more insistently, causing more and more misunderstanding, especially among those Ukrainians who are in the icy trenches around the clock in a state of this very escalation.
A distinct impression is formed that those who repeat this mantra aim to replace real steps with a screen of inaction and gutlessness.
For those who have not yet understood, I will explain. First of all, there is no conflict, but a full-fledged war, which began on February 27, 2014 with the seizure of the parliament and the government of Crimea by the russian military, continued with bloody slaughter in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and entered the active phase on February 24, 2022 with russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine has been in a state of constant and continuous military escalation for 3205 days, if anyone hasn’t noticed.
For us, there can be no greater escalation than the murder of 444 Ukrainian children, thousands of soldiers and civilians by putin’s regime, the loss of territory and the destruction of our peaceful life.
Taking into account all of the above, Ukraine will use all available means and methods not prohibited by international law to punish the aggressor and liberate our territory.
All objects on the occupied territory of Ukraine, where there is at least a small fragment of the russian tricolor rag, are our legitimate and potential targets.
In order to achieve the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ukraine’s goals will end where national interests require thereof, and Ukrainian strategic interests will end there and when the so-called russia will vanish into historical oblivion.
The so-called russia should disappear from the world map as a military and political entity within the limits in which it still exists – this is the most reliable (if someone hasn’t yet understood) security guarantee for Ukraine and the whole world.
And finally. The best method of “preventing escalation of the conflict†is to eliminate of the actual cause of the “escalation of the conflict†– namely, the complete and unconditional military defeat of the so-called russia with the subsequent de-putinization, denuclearization and de-ruscization of the russian “inhabitantsâ€.
The algorithm for eliminating the cause of the “escalation of the conflict†is weapons, weapons and more weapons, everything else will be done by Ukraine’s Defense Forces."
