Ukraine's partners are working tirelessly to achieve a just peace in Ukraine. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a Saturday podcast.

"Ukraine is strong and will not allow itself to be brought to its knees, nor will it be forced to surrender. Putin must finally recognize this. For Ukraine, there can only be a just peace. We are tirelessly working for this just peace," said the German politician.

The head of government emphasized that working for peace does not mean simply raising the white flag. Achieving peace requires diplomacy. At the same time, peace politics also means that partners, in coordination, support Ukraine in defending its independence and sovereignty.

"More than 800 days after the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine, one thing is clear: Russia will not succeed in implementing its imperialist plans," Scholz is convinced.

According to him, Putin must realize that he cannot win his brutal campaign, and that only a just peace is acceptable for Ukraine.

In the video podcast, Scholz spoke about a series of forums planned for next week dedicated to finding paths to such a peace. In particular, on June 11-12, a reconstruction conference will be held in Berlin, focusing primarily on economic revival, followed by a G7 meeting, and finally a peace summit in Switzerland, where the chancellor plans to persuade representatives from Asia, Africa, and South America of the need to collectively make Russia understand the necessity of adhering to international law and the UN Charter, and thus end its war.

"This is the path to a just peace. A peace that no one wants more than the Ukrainians. A peace that we also desire," Scholz concluded.
