As military expert Oleg Zhdanov stated in an interview with OBOZREVATEL, such "alternate airfields" are being prepared by the military elite and the security forces.

According to expert information from Russian sources, it is clear that competition has already begun in the Russian Federation. Each clan is preparing some fallback - at best, it's just an escape from Russia. However, everyone understands that Putin may simply not release them.
Zhdanov stressed that for the Russian elites and security forces, the elimination of Putin is a ticket to a new life.
"Putin is their lucky ticket. Because the West can agree to change the regime and agree to release those who will ensure it. Don't forget the military option as well. If Patrushev or the generals take power, this will be a transition period of the military regime in the Russian Federation. This also happens.
