Olha Stefanishyna has officially become the new Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States of America.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address.

“I just spoke with Olha Stefanishyna – now the new Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States of America. The formal procedures are completed – today I signed the decree on the appointment of the Ambassador. I have set key tasks for updating the work of our embassy, and the main thing is to fully implement all agreements with Washington – our agreements with President Trump, and primarily in the defense sphere,” said Zelensky.

He reminded that currently two strong Ukrainian proposals are being discussed with the United States: a weapons agreement for Ukraine and a deal on modern drones for the U.S. Kyiv is counting on a rapid development of relations with Washington.

Separately, the head of state thanked former Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova, who represented Ukraine in Washington throughout all the years since the start of the full-scale war.
