In the area of responsibility of the operational-tactical group Luhansk, Russian forces are using hundreds of FPV drones per day. This was reported on television by Anastasia Bobovnikova, the spokesperson for OTG Luhansk.
"They (the Russians ) use hundreds of FPVs per day. We're talking not about dozens, not about units, but hundreds – hundreds of FPVs in our area of responsibility. The artillery operates under the cover of electronic warfare, and enemy electronic reconnaissance systems are in operation. They primarily use modern models – modern drones and modern electronic warfare systems. It is actually not so easy to suppress them, and this significantly complicates the work of both our artillery and our drones," Bobovnikova said.
According to her, 12 enemy airstrikes with guided bombs (GABs) were carried out in the past day, affecting not only front-line positions but also rear cities such as Kostyantynivka. This city is hit by at least one airstrike daily.
"Every day, our artillery is very active. For instance, in the past day, we damaged several enemy artillery systems, but there are simply too many of them: many troops, artillery, and equipment. Somewhere they have limited success, somewhere we hold them back, but the large number of enemies is taking its toll," the spokesperson added.
She noted that on the Luhansk front, the Russians dismantle artillery, fortifications, and buildings to leave Ukrainian defenders without shelter, then bring in small groups to assault positions and look for weak spots in the Ukrainian defense.
