Overnight, Russia launched 185 attack drones against Ukraine

Ukraine’s Defense Forces shot down 113 Russian drones, while another 71 UAVs were lost from radar tracking.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

From 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, Russia launched 185 Shahed-type attack drones and various decoy UAVs from Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea) to strike Ukraine.

The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 8:00 AM on Monday, February 24, the confirmed downed drones include 113 Shahed UAVs and other types of drones over the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Additionally, 71 Russian decoy drones were lost from radar tracking (without negative consequences).

The attack resulted in damage and casualties in the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesіa, Kyiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
