During the night of May 12 (starting at 11:00 p.m. on May 11), the Russian forces launched an attack using 108 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda in Crimea.
The aerial assault was repelled by the Air Force, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
As of 08:30 a.m., 55 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (and other UAV types) were confirmed shot down over eastern, northern, southern, and central regions of the country.
Thirty decoy drones were lost from radar tracking without causing any damage.
As a result of the attack, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Zhytomyr regions were affected.
