This weekend in Switzerland will see the Global Peace Summit, based on a 10-point Ukrainian formula. Representatives from approximately 100 countries and organizations are expected to attend.

According to the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a total of 92 countries will participate in the summit. Among them, 57 countries will be represented at the highest level by their presidents or prime ministers. Additionally, 29 countries will send their foreign ministers, and others will be represented by ambassadors, including India, Indonesia, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, the Philippines, and Brazil.

China, however, will not be represented at the summit, reflecting its own views on achieving an end to the war. Earlier reports suggested that Beijing was advancing its own "peace plan" and cautioned countries intending to participate in Switzerland that such meetings would only prolong the conflict.

Despite earlier indications, the summit will include a representative from Saudi Arabia. This development follows a recent visit by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Riyadh, potentially influencing Saudi Arabia's decision to send its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, to the peace summit.

Another notable detail is India's representation by its ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar. It's worth noting that since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, India has claimed a purportedly neutral position regarding the war.
