For several months, Ukrainian partisans from the ATESH movement have been consistently documenting the efforts of Russian forces in preparing for the defense of Crimea.
As reported by ATESH movement, the Russian forces are taking the possibility of the Ukrainian Defense Forces approaching the peninsula seriously. According to ATESH, "only 65 kilometers separate them from their goal."
Over the course of these months, the partisans have observed systematic efforts by the Russian forces in preparing for the defense of Crimea, including the creation of fire points, construction of new fortifications, reinforcement of existing ones, the establishment of "territorial defense," and intensified patrols.
