According to a report by the aviation authorities of Bermuda, there are more than 700 aircraft of Russian airlines registered in Bermuda.

“From 23:59 UTC on March 12, 2022, the BCAA (Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority) has temporarily suspended all airworthiness certificates for those aircraft that are operated in accordance with Article 83bis of the agreement between Bermuda and the Russian Federation,” the message says.

More than seven hundred aircraft of the Russian Federation were registered in the territory of this country, located in the Caribbean Sea, to ease the tax pressure, receiving a registration code with the first two letters VP and VQ.

Following the imposition of sanctions and a ban on flights to Europe, the United States and Canada for Russian airlines, the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority said it would not be able to conduct security checks on these aircraft. That is, the BCAA will not be able to check the airworthiness of these aircraft.

It is also known that the American manufacturer of aviation equipment, the Boeing concern, has suspended services to Russian airlines and its activities in Moscow, which will affect the supply of spare parts. Boeing will also control the supply of spare parts to the Russian Federation from other countries of the world.

In other words, the aircraft of Russian airlines, due to the lack of airworthiness certificates, will not be able to fly to Europe and other countries of the world, even on routes that bypass the airspace prohibited for them, and the lack of spare parts supplies will put an end to flights within the Russian Federation.
