"Ukrainian art of the past century did not exist outside of its time; it drew from its pain and tragedy, was inspired by the beauty of places close to the heart, and sought freedom of self-expression. It is all the more interesting to explore and study it today. In the selection presented at the Museum, we will be able to see Ukraine through the eyes of remarkable painters, delve into their personal stories, and witness the diversity of art in Ukrainian territories," said Diana Popova, the General Director of the Museum of the History of Kyiv.
