In a disturbing escalation of violence, Russian forces launched attacks on 12 populated areas in the Donetsk region, leaving a trail of destruction and claiming the life of one individual while injuring two others. According to police reports, a staggering 1,780 hits were recorded within a single day.

The targeted cities included Kostiantynivka, Lymanske, Toretsk, and Ukrayinske, along with several settlements such as Velyka Novosilka, Hostre, Ocheretine, Rayhorodok, Yamnyl, and the villages of Yelyzavetivka and Novoselivka Persha. The attacks resulted in significant damage to civilian infrastructure, with a total of 68 objects affected. Among the casualties were 56 residential buildings, a hospital, a shop, administrative buildings, and numerous garages.

The onslaught intensified with the use of the Smerch multiple rocket launcher system, which targeted the settlement of Rayhorodok. Tragically, one civilian lost their life in the attack, and 13 private residences were left damaged in its wake.

Further devastation came in the form of an air strike employing a Universal Inter-Vehicle Planning High-Explosive Fragmentation Bomb UMPB-D30SM on Ukrainian territory. The airstrike resulted in two residents sustaining injuries, and significant damage was inflicted upon 29 apartment buildings, a shop, and several garages.

In Lymanske, the relentless shelling from the Smerch system caused extensive damage to three multi-story buildings, four private homes, a hospital, and an administrative structure, exacerbating the already dire situation.

The night of March 28 witnessed yet another harrowing attack, as the Russian army launched a rocket strike on Hirske. The specific type of weaponry employed in this assault is currently under investigation. Nevertheless, the aftermath revealed widespread damage, with a private residence, an educational institution, 12 garages, and a vehicle all suffering the consequences of the relentless violence.
