In an exciting new development for the world of art and technology, the Ukrainian Digital Art Fund (UFDA) has launched the country’s first and largest open online catalog of digitized and tokenized artworks. This innovative project is set to preserve the nation’s rich cultural heritage while embracing cutting-edge technology to make it accessible for future generations.

The catalog, developed with support from Digital Original, showcases over 2,700 works of art by more than 50 Ukrainian artists. From the 17th century to the present day, the collection spans over 400 years of Ukrainian history. And in February, UFDA is taking things to the next level with its inaugural NFT auction, set to feature digital copies of artworks by three internationally renowned Ukrainian artists: Zhanna Kadyrova, Nikita Kadan, and Waone Interesni Kazki.

UFDA is not just a digital archive – it is a bridge between Ukraine’s past, present, and future. The fund’s works are featured in world-class museums and galleries, including MoMA, the Guggenheim Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Whitney Museum, among others.

For those eager to support and invest in Ukrainian art, UFDA’s NFT auction is a unique opportunity. Collectors can purchase digital copies of the selected works, gaining exclusive ownership of a tokenized version of a physical artwork. The transaction is secured via blockchain technology, ensuring authenticity and protection. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, supporting charitable efforts in Ukraine.

How can you get involved? It’s simple:

  1. Visit the UFDA website between February 18 and 21 — the auction will be available online around the clock.
  2. Connect your crypto wallet (ERC-20) containing the required funds of ETH and USDC. Click 'Connect Wallet' at the top of the page and follow the prompts in your wallet interface.
  3. Explore the artworks by three leading Ukrainian artists: Zhanna Kadyrova, Nikita Kadan, and Waone Interesni Kazki.
  4. Place a bid on the piece you love. Track the bidding progress to increase your offer in time and secure the lot.

UFDA’s initiative represents more than just art – it is a symbol of Ukraine’s resilience and innovation. The project is not only preserving Ukrainian cultural treasures but also pushing the boundaries of digital art and blockchain integration. Through this initiative, digital art is not just a trend but a tool for ensuring that the country's history and creativity thrive in the digital age.

“We live in a unique time where art flourishes in both physical and digital realms. UFDA offers an extraordinary opportunity to own the first-ever digitized works by renowned Ukrainian artists WAONE Interesni Kazki, Zhanna Kadyrova, and Nikita Kadan. Their works are featured in esteemed collections such as the Pompidou and Museum Ludwig and are represented by leading galleries and auction houses, including Christie’s, Continua, and König Galerie. By acquiring these one-of-a-kind digital originals, you become the owner of a unique piece of Ukraine’s digitized cultural heritage and support the preservation of its legacy,” says Yulia Berdiarova, a Ukrainian curator and former curator at the Ludwig Museum in Cologne.

As the world watches, Ukraine is proving that it is not only rebuilding but innovating, creating a new future for its cultural and artistic legacy.
