On the night of December 12, a Ukrainian drone attacked the capital of the Chechen Republic, Grozny. The drone was shot down over the barracks of a special police regiment, reported Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

"No one was seriously injured. Four soldiers on guard received minor injuries. The personnel on duty were in protected rooms at the time," Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the drone that detonated in the air damaged the roof and shattered windows of the building, and the falling debris caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished.

Kadyrov called the attack a "pitiful act" that only strengthened the "desire to deal with the enemy as soon as possible." He noted that in Chechnya, a reserve of 84,000 volunteers had been assembled, ready to go to the front "at the first order."

"We will not leave this unanswered! And for these four wounded, we will kill 400 Ukrainian nationalists," Kadyrov concluded.

This was the second time a Ukrainian drone had attacked the center of Grozny. On December 4, a drone also struck the roof of the police special regiment building.

"They strike with drones anywhere. Today, they attacked the center of the city. They destroyed a gas station and the roof of the regiment. Civilians were injured," Kadyrov said then.

The first Ukrainian drone attack on Chechnya occurred on October 29, when a drone hit the building of the Russian Special Forces University (RUS) in Gudermes. The university's roof caught fire, but no one was injured. Kadyrov afterward stated that the enemies would face "retribution like they’ve never seen."

"They 'bit' us, and we will destroy them," he emphasized.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense's report, during the night of December 12, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 16 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones. Specifically, four drones were destroyed over the Kursk region, one over Chechnya, three over the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and eight over the occupied Crimea.
