On the night of January 19, 2025, from 8:00 PM on January 18, the Russian forces launched an attack with 61 strike drones, including Shahed drones and other types of imitator UAVs, from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk, and Orel in Russia.
The air raid was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams from Ukraine's Air Force and Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 AM, 43 Shahed strike drones and other types of UAVs were confirmed destroyed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions.
Additionally, 15 imitator drones were lost in unspecified locations without causing any negative consequences.
