On the night of 9 December (starting at 18:00 on 8 December), the Russian forces launched 110 attack UAVs — Shahed, Gerbera and other types — from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia), as well as Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea. Around 70 of them were Shaheds.
Ukrainian Defense Forces countered the air attack using aviation, air-defense missile units, electronic-warfare units, unmanned-systems units, and mobile fire groups.
As of 09:00, according to preliminary data, air defense shot down or suppressed 84 UAVs — Shaheds, Gerberas, and drones of other types — in northern, southern and eastern regions of the country.
A total of 24 strike UAV impacts were recorded at 9 locations.
