The Agreement paves the way for regular direct air communication between Ukraine and Iceland.
The document defines the procedure for the regulation of international flights between the two countries and the designation of airlines. It also sets out the conditions to grant permissions for operating regular flights, provides for mutual recognition of crew members certificates, contains provisions on aviation safety, and establishes a mechanism for the inspection of airlines to assess their compliance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The Agreement will not only allow Ukraine and Iceland to be connected by direct regular flights. It will create new opportunities for Ukrainians to travel and will additionally open our country to the world. Moreover, regular flights will promote tourism, business and human relations. That will further develop relations between our friendly countries
